About Me
EDUCATION AND TRAINING BACKGROUND:
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
I earned my Doctorate of Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Integrative Psychology,
at Alliant International University in San Diego, California in 2014.
I have been licensed by the State of Arizona as a Psychologist since 2016.
I have been practicing in the field of mental health for almost 20 years.
I have worked in private practice, outpatient, intensive, residential, substance rehabilitation, and crisis care settings. This broad clinical training allows me to treat a wide range of concerns and to see and support you as a whole person.

PERSONAL:
In my personal life people tell me that I’m easy to talk to, that I ask curious questions, and that I’m caring. Those are not skills taught in graduate school; rather, those are aspects of my personality that I believe are strengths in my role as a psychologist. I work hard to create a curious and compassionate environment so that you feel supported by me while also being challenged for overall growth. Research tells us that the number one factor for therapeutic success and accomplishing your goals is the goodness of fit in the therapist-client relationship.
When I’m not working, I’m most often with my husband and our two young children. At my best, I’m fully present—embracing moments of connection and nurturance with them. When I’m not at my best, I hopefully return to the reminder that we are all on a lifelong journey of growth.

THERAPEUTIC PHILOSOPHY:
I believe life's experiences shape us, that we're always learning from those experiences.
I believe people inherently possess both the desire and the capacity to grow. Our bodies and minds seek healing—whether from something as simple as a scraped knee or as complex as abuse and trauma. The adaptations that once helped us survive can, over time, become patterns that no longer support who we are becoming. I'll work with you to help you understand: the ways life experiences have shaped you, how you can heal from negative life events, how to cope and overcome life's stresses, and how to find your meaning, authenticity, and fulfillment in life.
