Insurance
***I do not accept insurance.***
I can provide you with statements (a "superbill") should you choose to submit for possible reimbursement.

There are benefits of seeking therapy from an in-network insurance provider, usually this includes paying less for the services. I am considered an out-of-network provider.
I choose not to contract with insurance panels for some of the following reasons:

In-network providers are required to submit your diagnosis, which becomes part of your permanent medical record, and may impact your ability to obtain insurance coverage in the future (examples: impact your eligibility to obtain or increase your rate for life insurance).

Therapy with in-network providers can be less private because your insurance company may ask to audit your therapy records to process your claim.

Therapy with in-network providers can be limited by insurers based in what type of therapy and how many sessions are reimbursed. For example, many insurance companies do not reimburse for couples therapy due to the diagnostic codes that are assigned to these services.
No Surprises Act
The No Surprises Act requires that health care providers notify you of your federally protected rights to receive a notification when services are rendered by an out-of-network provider, if a client is uninsured, or if a client elects not to use their insurance.
The No Surprises Act was created to prevent surprise billing. Balance billing – or a surprise medical bill – happens when you get a bill from a doctor, laboratory, durable medical equipment provider, or other health care provider who isn’t part of your health plan’s network. Often, consumers didn’t know they were getting care from out-of-network providers.
You’re never required to give up your protection from balance billing. You also aren’t required to get care out-of-network. You can choose a provider or facility in your plan’s network.

The links below provide more information about the No Surprises Act.
